Quimtime Live and Direct
It seems that for about as long as we were working on Static IV, Quim Cardona has been working on finishing his newest album. Working with producer, fellow Newark, NJ local Teddy Becks, Quim has been in and out of the studio for years. We even caught up with him for a Ride Channel show and got a little glimpse behind the dope little recording studio that sits above the old Newark Theatre. Well, the album is not only done, finally, it's actually online for free. Quim just let us know that it went live yesterday so we wanted to share it with everyone…..
Quim is a true original in the history of skateboarding. He is not only one of the most unique and amazing styles ever to come out of the east coast, he's also a painter, a musician and a talented MC. We've all seen his freestyle at the end of Eastern Exposure 3, but Quim never stopped honing his skills since way back when and I truly dig his style and flow on the mic. We got to capture his performance at an open mic night in NYC a year or so ago and I was really stoked to see him take over the stage. He's a gifted talent and I'm really fortunate to have pulled off a full part with him in Static IV.Anyways, give this link a click and enjoy Quim's new album with producer Teddy Becks.
