Joel Meinholz Time Machine
When I realized Joel Meinholz's birthday was coming up on Feb 2nd, I decided to start looking through my old hard drives to create a little birthday edit for the site. Joel is the only skater to have a part in Static I back in 1999 and then also had ANOTHER part in 2014's Static IV. It seemed like the best way to honor 17 years of filming together would be to put together a little mash-up of raw footage that could help capture the true spirit of the chaotic viking that is Joel Meinholz. Unfortunately a lot of tapes have gone missing from the Planet Earth & Rhythm days between 2001-2006 but I think this nearly 8 minute edit does a pretty good job to capture our work together through the years. Enjoy.
