Hopps Welcomes Kevin Taylor to the Squad
Last Friday, Nocturnal Skateshop sparked off an event to celebrate the coronation of the first new Hopps pro in 5 years. Pittsburghs finest, and long time Philly local, Kevin Taylor. The Hopps team converged in Philadelphia to welcome their new team rider and celebrate the special one-off color way of his very first Hopps board graphic, the "Battle Mask", as a special collab between Hopps & Nocturnal.
If you're not familiar with Kevin's decades-long history as one of the most stylish shredders on the east coast, you've got some homework to do. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Kevin became most well known after relocating to Philly during Love Park's golden years, in the late 1990's. And his legendary status and love within the Philadelphia community was more than apparent by the massive turnout at Friday's event, with skaters from the newest Philly scene to seasoned elders all coming out to support and celebrate Kevin's new board and new adventure with Hopps Skateboards.
