Theories Dragon John Igei Guest Skateboard Deck PREBOOK

We're very excited to announce the first guest pro deck ever offered by Theories, and we couldn't be more stoked to unveil that it's with legendary Washington DC ripper, John Igei. One of our favorite east coast styles of all time and a long time friend after his first appearances in the original Static video and his incredible opening part in the Static II video in 2004.

John's incredible technical ability mixed with effortless style and excellent taste made so many of us fans over the decades and it's a true honor to have his name gracing a Theories board. John chose to pursue a traditional Japanese art style for his board graphic, focusing on the Komainu (dragon dog) character, of which his family's home in Okinawa had statues flanking the front entrance when he was young. And we were especially excited that Japanese artist Oz, a friend of our Theories family in Japan, hand painted this beautiful graphic using traditional techniques and creating a graphic almost as powerful and graceful as John's talents on the board.
