“Windows and Doorways” video is an independent video by filmmaker Joe Bressler of Cleveland, Ohio. Produced by the Public Square Group in an effort to support the culture, art and civics behind skateboarding.
I was expecting an interesting watch when I popped this video into my player, but I got far more than I bargained for. As it first opens up we’re treated to a little animation made exclusively for the video by guest filmmaker, London’s Dan Magee. Then what follows is an outright great skateboard video, independent or not, and would give most company videos a run for their money. Best of all, Joe has brought us a glimpse into a city that has had little to no exposure in the skate media and their scene and spots are amazing. Windows and Doorways is a beautiful video with great obscure music, well filmed lines and single tricks, amazing spots and skateboarding that holds up to modern standards. The opening Eric Viccarone part is ape-nuts. Get this video, you’ll be happy to have it in your collection.
