This Just In From Traffic Skateboards

Traffic Skateboards is starting 2014 off with a rad new edit and we’re pretty hyped to be the exclusive host for it’s official release. Bringing together some of the raddest talent from Boston all the way down the east coast to Florida, Traffic has been shedding light on raw, true street skating for well over 10 years. And they haven’t stopped. Thanks to Joe Bressler for helping to make this new edit come together.

With ANOTHER snowstorm barreling down on the northeast, it might actually be cruel to get you all hyped up to skate. But it’s inevitable that you’re going to get stoked after watching this brand new piece from Traffic Skateboards. ‘Traffic Patterns’ features the full Traffic team and introduces us to a few new additions. Let’s have a look.

Really sick!  Great to see new footage from all these dudes.  Pat Steiner’s near accident line was rad.  No Bobby though?  Is that dude off everything?

So good.  Bringing it back to the Via vibes.  Wetzel always coming with the unique spots…Can’t wait for Static IV.  A bit of a tangent but I always feel like Animal Bikes videos were a bit of an influence on the feel of Traffic’s stuff

Traffic has lost it’s heart and soul.
No one, not even Coakley, can replace Puleo’s originality and presence.
One Oyola clip isn’t enough to save my favorite “company.”

Puleo left on good terms to start his own company awhile ago.

Thanks for all the comments. I’m just incredibly hyped to see something new from Traffic and I can’t thank Joe Bressler and Pat Stiener enough for making this first video piece happen.
As for the Puleo question, I agree that he definitely added a rad dimension to Traffic. So we were all bummed to see him go. But with Traffic moving under new distribution I think he saw it as a good time for him to part ways without shaking things up too much. There were no boards laying around with his name on them at the time so he wasn’t screwing anybody over by leaving at that moment. If he is moving on to do his own thing, I think it’s probably the best timing he could’ve done it.
That being said, Traffic was a solid, amazing brand far before Puleo rode for it. If you’ve ever seen their first couple of video releases you know what I mean. Ricky and Bobby are two of a handfull of skaters who gave the east coast scene it’s identity and realistically they both deserve to have their own brands and present skateboarding with their own vision. So best of luck to Bob in whatever he ends up doing. And congratulations to Ricky and Traffic for keeping the raw vibe going and pushing real street skating for over 12 years.
