What do you do when you’re too tired, too fat, too lazy or too “busy” to whip together some new original content for your website? Dig through your old archives and find some nonsense that never saw the light of day. I’ve been milking this gimmick for years. Some people call it unimaginative or lazy. I call it the “Time Machine”. Welcome aboard. This 19th edition brings us to the original edit of a Static part that got switched up last minute. Let’s hop in the machine and set the flux capacitor to 2004.
After having the “Philly Four” section edited to this song for an entire year, I made the last minute decision to switch it up after seeing a Krux video release that used the same song. Puleo flew down to Tampa to work with me on his part and when he saw that I had switched out the Hall & Oats song for Kenny Rogers he flipped his shit and our first major lover’s spat began. I’ll write a romance novel about it one day.
But, anyways, I had always wanted to use this song in a video but I feel that although it works great with Sabback’s rythm it starts to feel weird around the middle of Adler’s section and then loses it’s tracks with Damian. And it also required a bit too much GL-1 footage than I felt comfortable using. Still though, this song is a classic and having grown up with my dad listening to Hall & Oats and myself listening to De La Soul’s song “Eye Know” this was a tough one to give up
Pretty sure there are some tricks in this edit we didn’t up using in the final version either.
Behold.

Yeah, for sure. Music is about 60% of what makes a good part. But I was feeling this song for a while. Especially to Jack’s skating. Editing in this piece is pretty awful, but the skating was so sick. I forgot how dope Damian was. Damn!
Yeah, I have to say I like the original. Still sick though. Despite the rawness of the Sabback footage, GL-1s still are just tough to watch. Good call using the least amount as possible.
The balance on Sabback’s grinds, and his stance on a ledge is always amazing to watch.
can’t say which edit I prefer but damn rich adler is great. Ollie up onto the huge block and then grind down the post is my favorite
Blown out spots !
I wish the hall and oates song made the final cut. I’m just a sucker for the 80’s. Shout out to kenny rogers roasters. Josh, i wish the trailer for MIA with phil collins ended up as the intro. When i saw the trailer I was definitely hoping that was going to be the intro.
Yall Niggaz Is GarBage, Catch me in the G4, Go Back to Florida Lil’ Niggaz, too cold for yall here.
