Sneak Peakin’…
Dan Magee was nice enough to give me a sneak peak of his hot-off-the-presses edit of Blueprint’s entry for “The Big Push” contest, put on by Document Skate Mag. The Big Push is a Red Bull style video battle between UK and European board companies who all travel the British Isles to film and edit the best video submission possible. Each team gets a guest skater and Blueprint was lucky enough to get Olly Todd on their team. Now, Dan sent his edit over my way the other night while I was hard at work editing STATIC III. And halfway through it I finally decided to turn it in and finally submitted my application to Wendy’s.
I seriously almost cried.
The dude’s got skills and, more importantly, a mountain of style. If you guys wanna see an example of REAL filmmaking, stay tuned on Document and Blueprint’s websites and hopefully you’ll be as blown away as I was. Thanks Dan for providing the “big push” I needed to finally tie these cinderblocks to my ankles and jump into the East River. Cheers!

blueprint is so awesome. last year’s big push edit was amazing as well as lost & found. it just goes to show that the best skateboarding isn’t found in your average skate mag.

East River, don’t you mean Tampa Bay?

No link?

Nope, no link….hence the term “SNEAK” peak. The Big Push isn’t officially launching until later this month. I’m just telling you fools to be on the lookout. And I think the correct name you’re looking for is the Hillsborough River. But “East River” sounds a lot cooler.

I figured the Bay would work. It has water and is near where you are. Then you wouldn’t have to deplete the ozone layer by driving all the way up here to drown yourself in a much cooler sounding river.

[...] Ya know, about 3 months ago I wrote a post mentioning a video piece that Dan Magee, over at Blueprint Skateboards, had shown me. I talked about how Dan’s editing/production skills made me feel like an incompetent retard, then I failed to ever post a link to the piece I was speaking about. So while you’re sitting around waiting for my fat ass to get this Jack Sabback interview done and posted, maybe have a gander at what a real videomaker can do. by Theorizer at 9:41 pm [...]
