“A lie cannot live”-Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King’s day is observed today, some 42 years after his assassination on April 4th, 1968.
While reading the book “An Act of State“, which is probably the best and most in-depth investigation into the MLK assassination, I was floored by some of the public information author William Pepper dug up. The result of the investigations launched by the House Select Committee on Assassinations in the early 70’s, Pepper discovered documented proof that the FBI was actively tapping MLK’s phones, surveilling his offices and hotel rooms and following his family and friends in order to gather some form of information that they could use to destroy his credibility. This documentary actually interviews a former FBI agent who was actively involved in these very same surveillance and smear campaigns against the civil rights leader. Check it out.

I never knew that about MLK Jr. Every time he spent the night somewhere he had bodyguards, wouldn’t he be a little suspicious that they were dismissed without his own permission? Good video though, I wish all the videos posted on this site could get the message across in under 10 minutes.
