Oz……

The deeper one allows their fall down the rabbit hole to proceed, the more they will notice the numerological signs in their daily lives. The Towel recently listed some of the numerical signals in the published reports of both the Fort Hood shooting and the execution of the DC sniper. Most significant has been the ever-present number of 11 The Invasion psp in countless different events. And on the same day that the DC sniper’s time of death was published to fall at “9:11″, I noticed a coincidental Yahoo news story on the home page of my browser. Coincidence? That’s for you to decide.
As that same week came to a close I found myself skating alone in Manhattan when a friend phoned to ask if I was noticing the strange concentric rainbow around the sun. As I cast my gaze upward I was amazed to find not one, but THREE concentric rainbows in the sky, 2 encompassing the sun itself and another strangely floating immediately overhead. This coming just a month after the bizarre unexplained halo appearing over Moscow. As I searched around Youtube I found a post from a random New Yorker who saw the same exact thing, but exactly one month earlier!
Then, to bring these “coincidences” to their apex, Jake Kotze just happened to post a video piece on the appearance of rainbows in film/television on the exact same day of my sighting in NY…..now, I ask you again. Coincidence?

Book of Broken Dreams:Part 4

The BOBD is filled examples of my feeble attempts at photography from yesteryear that never saw the light of day. And an occasional photo that WAS printed but likely slipped under your radar.
Let’s see what we’ve got today.
1. Nate Jones moved to Tampa around the end of the millenium and stuck around for about 1 year. But somehow I manged to end up with more photos of him from this time, than almost anybody else. Here is a front blunt in front of a pawn shop right near the Skatepark of Tampa from about 1999.
2. Some time around 1997-98 I ended up in Atlanta quite often. Back then, there was an empty foundation in the heart of downtown rigged up with ramps, boxes, etc. There was a sick scene of skaters there pretty regularly including Steve Young, Jeremiah Babb, Jay Buck, Graham Bickerstaff, Jed Davis, Stormy Pruett and a skater who’d been killing it since the 80’s, Fred Reeves. I was pretty stoked to get a photo of the dude. Unfortunately, it never ran.
3. Jimmy Chadwick, a Florida native, did the California thing for years and eventually made his way back to his home state around the late millenium. Jimmy was one of those incredibly talented skaters who people never really got a chance to appreciate. This straight nollie at the dog track in Tampa was the tip of the iceberg of his skills.

Time Machine #13: Jeremy Deglopper

Easily 90% of you never heard of him, but this southern California ripper should not be forgotten.
This footage goes far beyond the usual 10yr old mark for a Theories Time Machine. This short grip of footage of Jeremy is from 1996, when most of you were still eating glue and having to raise your hands to use the bathroom.

I wish there was more, Deglopper’s style was ahead of it’s time. Enjoy.
