VIVIEN FEIL VS BRIAN DELATORE

Another game of SKATE, coming at you this time from Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan.
Today we have a matchup between a couple of recent Theories “Versus” victors. At the suggestion of a friend, I started this game off filming fisheye. But after discovering the lens looked like it’d been recently sneezed on by a bison, a change back to long lense mode. Right then, let’s see what happens……

New “Theory 11″ Shirt, available now!

19 men board 4 planes. Weilding box-cutters and some mediocre flight training, they breach the cabin wrestling the controls from hijack-trained pilots with no problems. No hijack codes are tripped on any of the planes. The highest-funded military in the world fails 4 separate times to engage the planes and flight 11 and 175 smash into Towers 1 & 2 of the World Trade Center complex at 440 and 540 mph.

2 buildings standing at 110 stories, specifically designed to withstand the impact of TWO fully loaded passenger jets, inexplicably collapse at just over free-fall speed, disintegrating into themselves. The world stands in silence. The plan has worked with military precision. The stage is set. The ritual has begun.

News ticker….

Recently returned from a month of filming in Paris, and London. It was a rad trip. I returned to America feeling like Vietnam after lugging a 50 lb camera bag around 500 yr old streets and slamming onto my already-wrecked filmer’s elbow about 30 times. If you happened to miss the link someone threw up in the comments section yesterday, this seriously bizarre story popped up in Moscow the other day. Also, anybody in the SF bay area should check out our good friend over at Slap Mag, Mark Whiteley, who has a show opening tonight that looks sick.

Time Machine #12: Rickie Dixon

One of the smoothest skaters ever to come out of Florida, Rickie Dixon was one of my favorites. Refusing to move out of his hometown of St. Petersburg, it was often difficult to get together enough to film. But when we did it was usually worth it.
The following is a collection of footage starting in 1996 and ending around 2001….enjoy.

3 STRIKES: Olly Todd

Three attempts to do the longest flatground line you can. It might not always be pretty, but it’s usually a pretty fun watch. This time around Olly Todd takes us for a tour of the alleyways of London and demonstrates his skills at improv.

1. Strike one

2. Steeerike two….(or should I say, “Strike 1993″)
3. Striiiiiiiiiike…….three
