New Tony Manfre interview just went up on The Program Zine. Written by Paul Zitzer, the reader is enlightened with a pretty raw view into Tony’s rise to becoming a professional skateboarder, with interesting quotes from Brian Gaberman, Matt Eversole and others.
And did anybody see this today? Can’t really blame the little dude.

I’ve been traveling all day. Airports and baggage carousels have turned me into a zombie. However, I DID manage to see THIS asshole in the Charlotte airport. We’re playing a no-comply game of skate next week.
Anyways, I figured it a good time to take the easy road out and create a post out of other people’s hard work. So, coming in first is the MIA Skateshops newly-launched website featuring a sick edit of footage from San Francisco featuring Brian DeLaTorre, Ben Gore and Paul DeOliviera, filmed by Ryan Garshell.
Next up is an incredible video short my friend forwarded to me by artist Xavier Chaissang.
And finally is a mix of random footage, used and unused, of the French skater Vivien Feil which is killing on Youtube right now.

Sitting in a restaurant in Brooklyn, I noticed a couple of Orlando expatriates who walk in and sit down. We started taking about a recent post on Theories when out of nowhere I heard the words ….”You should play Matt in a game of no-comply skate. I’m pretty sure he’d beat you”. The restaurant grew hushed. Women clutched babies and bar tenders ducked behind tables. A challenge had been made, backing down was not an option.

What followed was not very pretty, but a victor was crowned nonetheless. It’s a Floridiot showdown….Tampa’s Theorizer vs. Orlando’s Matt Webster. Which city will win?

I was randomly spammed this new music video the same day I posted the “Those Were The Days” post. Just thought that was strange since this song is talking about pretty much the same thing I was whining about in my last post. As I’ve mentioned before, the parallels between hip-hop and skateboarding are uncanny. If you want to see what’s in line for skateboarding in the near future, just take a look at the tragedy that is modern day hip-hop. I’m not sure if I’m feeling the song, and the video is a bit weird, but KRS’s verses are on point as usual.

Driving down the highway in Brooklyn the other day I passed a banner that covered an entire building with this image bearing down on me, Transformers backdropped by the Pyramid of Cheops. Any time I see a pyramid in such high-profile pop imagery it immediately catches my attention and makes me start thinking about Jake Kotze’s theory of “Synchromysticism”.

But as if that wasn’t enough……..read more here.

A glimpse into the not-so-distant past when skating and filming every day was still possible and life’s oppressive realities had yet to sink our proverbial collective battleship. Fall ‘08, mid-session out filming with Steve Brandi, Soy Panday, Bobby Puleo and Vivien Feil.
I’m sure that life goes in cycles and that the good has to be outweighed by the bad to keep a proper balance……read more here
