Time Machine #7:Sean Mullendore

Pretty much every time somebody asks me how the Static series got started, I usually tell the story
of seeing Sean Mullendore skate in the Tampa Am contest in the late ’90s and how it got me sparked to ask him to do a part.

I was going through some old VHS mixes recently and came across a random piece of one of Sean’s contest runs from around 1997. It’s really short, but it’s still pretty sick.

Life Inc.

This looks like a really rad book that pretty much captures a lot of what I’ve been reading over the past 10 years and puts it into video form pretty eloquently.

New BF color-way contest

We recently got in some experimental color-ways of the original Ben Franklin Theories t-shirt graphic.
So, why not introduce the shirt with a little contest to give one of ‘em away?
So here’s the question: What skater is featured in 4 different segments of the original Static video? He also filmed Jake Rupp’s frontside nose slide on that massive Las Vegas bump to bar.

First one to email me the correct answer to fairweatherfoe@gmail.com will get their pick of either of the graphics below.

FRANCE VS. AMERICA

They come to MY country and think they can try to skate my flat ground without answering to me first.
No sir.

Time to put these foreign bastards in their place. Observe.

Massacring freedom…..

Just want to take a moment to remember the terrifying anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre. 20 years ago from this day, thousands of Chinese students tried to stand up in peaceful protest to effect change in a government that gave/gives the people no voice. But, in no time, the Chinese (”PLA”) army stepped in to open fire indiscriminately. Estimations number up to 7,500 people killed.
Perhaps even more frightening is the current regime’s control over the people’s access to the press and the internet. We’re talking about over 1 BILLION people being blacked out from the truth. Please read this terrifying article about the Chinese government’s suppression of history. And consider how easily our own governments could limit our access to certain websites or the internet altogether. This is absolutely terrifying.
