Theories of Atlantis

So I’ve been traveling through Europe this week after getting randomly hired to help shoot someone’s documentary.
Spent 6 days driving around the UK and meeting up with old friends and new acquaintances along the way and upon my return to London yesterday I learned of the fall of the British Pound. The biggest drop in 37 years….the pound went from almost twice the value of the US dollar all the way to 1.59. Holy shit! Along my run-ins with old and new friends a consistent theme of “What the hell is happening?” prevailed. People are tripping and are blaming it on everything from the US housing crisis to the absurd price of oil to the greed of Wall St. I ran into a friend in London who works in the banking industry and an interesting debate erupted. Is this really the result of bad dealings, greedy Wall St. bankers and OPEC oil price piracy? Or, is the writing on the wall that the fix is in to put Globalism on the fast track? As the UK pound falls and the US dollar turns to toilet paper, are we going to see these last remaining currency standards driven into oblivion in an excuse to consolidate economies and push for a Euro-style economic system for North American, Asian-Pacific, Scandanavian and other economies? Some, like myself, argue that it’s all manufactured on purpose. Others argue it’s simply a disaster. What do you think?

I dug the magic skate ball out tonight, which is choc full of footage that never made it to the big screen, or to your greedy little eyes. It’d be a shame for it to all go completely unseen, so I shook it around 5 times tonight and this is what it turned up.
1. Danny Fuenzalida is back, this time w/ a bangin heelflip

….too bad he indward heelflipped the shit out of it the same night.
2. Paul Shier on a very random wall in Miami probably knocked over by a hurricane….or by Theorizer’s breath.
3. Hmmm well look who it is, it’s Josh Stewart getting folded on the Tampa a-frame spot.
4. What a trooper…he stands strong like Mike V and hops into a backside noseblunt, has a lunch break, then pops it in.
5. And finally, the magic skate ball lands on my last unseen footage of a personal favorite, Andy Honen. This might not even qualify as a line, but I don’t care. This dude’s style is a trick in itself. Your skating is greatly missed Andy.

So, things have been slow over here at Theories lately, mostly because I’ve been busy working a bunch of shit jobs.
But I’m curious what features you guys have most enjoyed in the past. Seems like some people hate the “3 Strikes” feature and some love it. Some want to discuss the economy and 9/11 while some want non-stop skate footage.

After that “Web Bots” radio broadcast I posted last week (thanks to Nevitt at KCDC), my mind has been spinning like a top, counting down the days to October 7th….24 hours from this moment.
And then, thanks to Pennypacker, I stumble upon a new version of Zeitgeist that was just released Rogue movie . Maybe it’s the pep-talk I might need to survive what’s ahead? Let’s take a look and find out.
