A day late and a dollar short….

There was some drama leading up to this thing launching…but the last thing y’all need to hear is some video nerd whining online….so w/out further delay, let me present to you slags, the STATIC III trailer.
And here’s a higher resolution version for those with more patience.

Static III trailer update…

Ugh…so, I know I promised this thing would be up and running by tonight, but it’s not happening.
My web-designer is swamped and ran into a bunch of problems.
What a way to start things out, huh?
Anyways, many apologies….and I promise that if we don’t have the site up and running by 9pm tomorrow night, I’m just going to post a high-res version of the trailer on the Theories site so that it’s out there, once and for all.
It’s a massive download for this slow-ass blog site, so I’ll try to get it to a manageable size.
Until tomorrow, my friends.

STATIC III: Update!

Hey hey hey…first of all, “D” and “OLD” are getting vicious out there…play nice, damnit!
And yes, my friends, I do agree…It’s going to be about as easy to sell STATIC III in October as it would be to sell asbestos lollipops.
I need this bloody video to be done and out by the end of summer or my goose is cooked. F’reals. I vow to have STATIC III on skateshop shelves by September 1st. You assholes just gotta promise to buy it. Or I’m seriously getting a job at Wendy’s.
And hold your cyber-horses, you queerbates…STATIC III trailer and website coming to your pathetic eyes by this Wednesday. That’s right….what?…shut up! Just pay attention and get your lives ready for some mediocre video-making magic!

Jeru, Group Home, and the state of the world.

Am I the only one making the comparison between hip-hop and skateboarding?
Has anybody else noticed that both had their most recent renaissance at pretty much the same era and are now sharing a similar lack of style, soul and quality?
I wonder if both will eventually be buried in the same graveyard? Hmmm…this is something to ponder indeed.
But while we mull that one over, let’s take a peek at a recent Brooklyn performance of one of the greats I attended the other night…..Jeru + Group Home in Brooklyn together and only 40 people in attendance. What’s wrong with this world?

Together again!

If you ever check in on the AreYouAVictim site, you’ll know that a certain reader and Victim site moderator Bobby Puleo have a tendancy to go at it like a couple of wild hyenas. The debates are often a good read which start as an honest debate with good points from both sides but always ends up like watching a car accident or a WWF wrestling match. But, what you might not know is that Bobby and this blogger are actually friends. The unnamed heckler showed his face recently in Brooklyn and we skated and debated the days away. Here they are, mid debate, building up plenty ammunition for a future online battle.

Bellevue…

Tony was finally hospitalized….apparently the authorities have been reading his quotes on Theories and decided it was time to have him committed….it’s a sad day.

Remember?

Remember being the only skateboarder in your entire high school?
Remember the days when if you heard a skateboard in the distance, you actually got psyched that there might be another skater around the corner?
Remember when skateboarding being on TV or in a movie was big news?
Remember when you used to almost get your ass kicked every day for riding a skateboard?
Damnit, do I ever miss those days.
