Homework: #3

Topic of the day: The popular belief that the pyramids were only built to house the bodies of deceased pharoahs is a sack of camel shit. You’ll never discover the REAL reasons for their construction by reading National Gepgraphic or watching The Discovery Channel.
But THIS

All That Heaven Allows film

could be pretty interesting.

Homework: #2

1. There are giant pyramids in both Cairo, Egypt and the multiple sites in Mexico…namely Teotehuican, Tiahuanaco and Chichen Itza.
2. Both the pyramid complexes in Giza(Cairo) and Teotehuican seem to mimic or map out on earth the constellation of Orion’s belt.
3. The culture and people’s that actually built Teotehuican remain unknown to this day but we are told that they knew nothing of the existence of the Egyptians.

So I ask…..how in the world did these 2 cultures develop such eerily similar practices if they never came into contact with one another? A fascination with pyrimoidal structures, a reverrence for the constellation of Orion, an uncanny understanding of the cosmos, math, architecture, masonry, complex geometry?

Discuss…….

Halloween in NY

I’ve missed out on Halloween over the past coupla years. I always end up being on a trip and missing out on the events back home. Last Halloween, while everyone else was at costume parties, I was dying from food poisoning alone in a hotel room in New Delhi, India living out my own private version of The Exorcist.
I wanted to have a bit more fun then that this year but with everyone in town to film there was no chance for costumes and parties. So we set out for an average day of filming in the city Halloween afternoon. We ended up starting way up on 145th street and then bombed the hills down for 50 blocks into Harlem. We skated for miles and hit up countless skatespots along the way. Then we wrapped the day up by hanging out at Union Square checking out all the costumes and freaks. The day actually ended up being amazing and Halloween found us wherever we went. Check out our Halloween photo blog for the full story.
