Easily 90% of you never heard of him, but this southern California ripper should not be forgotten.
This footage goes far beyond the usual 10yr old mark for a Theories Time Machine. This short grip of footage of Jeremy is from 1996, when most of you were still eating glue and having to raise your hands to use the bathroom.

I wish there was more, Deglopper’s style was ahead of it’s time. Enjoy.

One of the smoothest skaters ever to come out of Florida, Rickie Dixon was one of my favorites. Refusing to move out of his hometown of St. Petersburg, it was often difficult to get together enough to film. But when we did it was usually worth it.
The following is a collection of footage starting in 1996 and ending around 2001….enjoy.

Pretty much every time somebody asks me how the Static series got started, I usually tell the story
of seeing Sean Mullendore skate in the Tampa Am contest in the late ’90s and how it got me sparked to ask him to do a part.

I was going through some old VHS mixes recently and came across a random piece of one of Sean’s contest runs from around 1997. It’s really short, but it’s still pretty sick.

Let’s hop into the time machine and go back 10-12 years to Tampa, Florida. Strap on the bubble lens, throw in a low-quality Hi-8 tape and set the dial to “Jeff Lenoce”. Enjoy.

Straight from the old VHS mix-tapes dug out of my storage unit and up onto the world-wide webernets.

The hi-8 mix tape Miami edition comes to you in the ghetto fashion you’ve come to expect from us here at Theories of Atlantis.

Where would Theories be without my buckets of old Hi-8 and DV tapes? I’ve been shit at creating new posts lately but things are moving along and I’m working on a few things behind the scenes to make sure that Theories never goes through these lulls of inactivity again. Anyways, I dug out my old VHS mixtapes I used to dump footage to when I’d get home from filming. My friends would always meet me at my house to go filming and I’d be far from ready to leave, so I’d always have these mixtapes to throw in the VCR and entertain them with while I did whatever I had to do to pack up my stuff. I literally have hours upon hours of these things and I would say about 40% of the footage never got used. Bad for the skaters in the footage but good for us now.
If you were ever involved in the Tampa scene, this first batch of footage will be a bit nostalgic. If not, there’re are plenty of interesting bits mixed in including Penny, Gino, Barley, Dill, Hughes and a host of other randoms that were subjected to my bail gun in the late 90’s. Behold….7 minutes of of High-8 randomness.D-War release
